I qualified from King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan in 1991, and did all of my postgraduate training in UK and obtained Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. I have also obtained a Diploma in Immediate Care from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and a Diploma in Sports medicine from Cardiff University.. I have been working as a Consultant in A&E since July 2001. I am also a UK Resus Council Advanced adult and paediatric and Newborn Life Support Instructor.
My special interests include the care of Head and Neck trauma patients, care of musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries, sports injuries & rehabilitation, and advice regarding exercise after an illness e.g myocardial infarct, chest infection, postoperative period. This is due to my extensive experience in general and vascular surgery, primary care, orthopaedics, plastics, ENT, emergency medicine, and head and neck surgery.
I regularly provide emergency care for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal problems, and wounds of patients who have medical and surgical illnesses both as new and review patients.
I have been writing regular medico legal reports for both criminal and civil cases for over 8 years. I have written over 300 reports. I have attended Magistrate Courts as an expert witness on 3 occasions.
I’m married and have four children. I have played basket ball , table tennis and badminton at academy level. I still try and participate in various sports.
